报告题目:Modelling and coping with heterogeneity in computational systems biology
报告摘要:In this presentation, I describe some modelling regimes for exploring different applications in systems biology. Two applications include Michaelis-Menten reactions and ion channel dynamics. The stochasticity can be captured in both the discrete setting (using the Stochastic Simulation Algorithm) and the continuous setting using stochastic differential equations. I also describe a Reflected SDE model that ensures that the solutions remain within the domain by describing the boundary conditions using a reflecting process
报告人介绍:Pamela Burrage的研究方向集中在计算数学,计算统计,计算生物学等领域。在随机微分方程的数值解和并行计算等领域做出了开创性研究。于1999年在澳大利亚昆士兰大学取得博士学位,同年在澳大利亚昆士兰大学现代计算建模中心任高级研究员,2010年澳大利亚昆士兰理工大学任副教授。是澳大利亚研究基金会的同行评议专家,《SIAM J Numer Ananl》,《J Comput Appl Math》等多个国际期刊的审稿人。
