报告题目：Finite element methods for incompressible MHD equations

报告摘要：Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is the study of the interaction of electromagnetic fields and conducting fluids. The modeling consists of a coupling between the equations of fluid mechanics and the Maxwell equations of electromagnetism. Applications of MHD on different scales can be found in many disciplines such as astrophysics, controlled thermonuclear fusion and engineering related to liquid metal. There is a great deal of literature devoted to various aspects of MHD. This report is mainly devoted to overview the numerical methods for the incompressible Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) system, which we have done.

报告人简介：司智勇，男，中共党员，理学博士，副教授，硕士生导师。 2011年毕业于西安交通大学，获得理学博士，获得西安交通大学优秀毕业生和优秀毕业论文。2008年毕业于新疆大学，获理学硕士。2005年本科毕业于河南师范大学，数学与信息科学学院，获理学学士。2011年10月至今，在河南理工大学数信学院信息与计算科学系任教。2013年2月-2013年4月 香港城市大学访问学者。2015年3月到2016年3月受国家留学基金委的资助在美国匹兹堡大学访问。近年来在国际学术期刊，包括计算数学顶尖期刊SIAM Numer Anal 和Nmer Math，发表学术论文40余篇，主持完成国家自然科学基金2项，参与完成国家自然科学基金3项；主持河南省高等学校重点项目1项，中国博士后基金面上项目一等资助1项。
