报告题目:Inertial manifolds for the Cahn-Hilliard equations
报告摘要:In this talk I will prove the existence of inertial manifolds (IMs) for the 3D Cahn-Hilliard (C-H) equations with periodic BC. The spectral gap conditions are violated in this case and therefore the standard theory is not applicable. In order to treat C-H equations we will use the modification of the so-called spatial averaging principle, which was introduced by J. Mallet-Paret and G. Sell to handle the 3D reaction-diffusion equations. This method is highly based on the observation that only the middle modes of the derivative of the non-linearity play essential role and if they are close to the scalar operator we are still able to prove the existence of IMs, nevertheless the spectral gap conditions are not satisfied.
报告人简介:Anna Kostianko 博士现为英国萨里大学博士后研究员,主要从事无穷维动力系统惯性流形相关问题的研究。Anna Kostianko博士2008-2012年进入V. N. Karazin哈尔科夫国立大学数学系学习,并获得哈尔科夫国立大学学业奖学金;2013-2017年在英国萨里大学获得博士学位。2013年获得“Lomonosov”数学与物理青年学者最佳报告奖,2016年获AIMS优秀学生论文奖。
